COMMON QUESTIONS

What Property Owners Ask First

How much does it cost to fix a gravel driveway in Paducah?

A regrade and recrown on a typical 100–200 ft driveway runs $650–$1,200. A full restore with fresh rock typically lands between $2,500–$4,200 depending on length and rock depth. Use the calculator above for your driveway's range — rock is always billed per delivered ton, on its own line, so you see the real material cost.

Do you have a minimum job size?

Yes — $450 for light excavation and $650 for driveway work (a four-hour machine minimum at our equipment rate). Getting a machine loaded, hauled, unloaded, and back costs the same whether the job takes twenty minutes or all day, so the minimum covers mobilization. The good news: it also means adding work to a scheduled visit is cheap. One stump isn't worth the trip — one stump plus the low spot in the yard plus the driveway ruts usually is, and you only pay mobilization once.

How much does stump removal cost?

Full removal — root ball dug out, hole refilled with replacement soil and compacted — typically runs $160–$700 per stump all-in depending on size, with most yard stumps landing between $250–$410 including the fill dirt. When the root ball comes out, its soil goes with it, so replacement fill is part of the job and shows as its own line on your quote. That's removal, not grinding: nothing left to rot, sink, or sprout. Multiple stumps in one visit share the mobilization, so the per-stump price drops as the count goes up. Use the calculator above for your number.

What does topsoil and lawn repair cost?

Screened topsoil delivered, spread, and graded typically runs $80–$110 per yard installed — a 2,000 sq ft lawn dressed at 2 inches is roughly 14 yards ($1,100–$1,550 installed). Regrading without new soil is priced by area. Topsoil is billed per delivered yard on its own line, so you see exactly what material costs.

How much does forestry mulching cost per acre?

In Western Kentucky growth: light brush typically $950–$1,200 per acre, medium brush $1,200–$1,500, and heavy growth with 4–8″ trees $1,800–$2,200. Minimum booking is one machine day ($2,400). Mulching grinds everything in place — no burn piles, no hauling — and jobs are scheduled into dedicated mulching weeks, which is how we keep specialized equipment affordable. Most bookings run within 2–4 weeks.

How much does land clearing cost per acre in Kentucky?

Full land clearing — trees dropped and removed or burned on-site where permitted, stumps grubbed, ground left build-ready — typically runs $2,000–$4,500+ per acre in Western Kentucky and is always quoted from a site walk, since tree size and disposal method drive the price.

Can you fix the drainage problem that ruined my driveway?

That's usually the right question — most failed driveways are drainage problems wearing a gravel disguise. We handle culverts, ditching, and crowning so the repair lasts instead of washing out next spring.

Who actually does the work?

Every project is quoted, scheduled, and managed personally by Ryan Morreau — the work is performed by proven equipment operators from the same vetted trade network behind Morreau Construction, under Ryan's oversight. One point of contact, one person accountable, from first call to final walkthrough.
